HIM – On Male Desire
From 19 June to 9 July 2026, Galerie Grevy invites you to the exhibition “Him – On Male Desire” – a concentrated, sensual and provocative exploration of male eroticism in all its facets. Following the huge success of the “Queer as we are” festival in 2024, this edition will be more intimate, focused and even more personal: in our new, smaller exhibition space, 14 local, national and international artists will present works that explore male desire through painting, drawing and conceptual art – ranging from tender and vulnerable to powerful and rebellious.
The works on display range from mythically laden symbols and expressive, colour-rich portraits to intimate, almost casual moments of the male body. Each piece tells its own story – sometimes playful, sometimes political, but always honest and uncensored.
The exhibition is part of Cologne Pride and stands for diversity, openness and the courage to celebrate male identities beyond clichés. Experience art that moves, challenges and invites dialogue – very much in the spirit of Grevy: art on equal terms, without elitism, but with plenty of passion.

Queer as we are
Queer as we are – Art, Community and Cologne Pride
Since 2022, Galerie Grevy has been an integral part of Cologne Pride – with exhibitions that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and provide a platform for artists. In 2024, we took a major step forward with the “Queer as we are” art festival: across four venues in the Südstadt and the Belgian Quarter, we showcased works by local, national and international queer artists.
In 2026, we are continuing this tradition with “HIM on male desire (queer as we are 4)”: a focused exhibition that deals exclusively with male desire and identity. In our new, smaller exhibition space, we are presenting works by 14 male artists who explore the theme in all its facets – provocatively, tenderly, politically or playfully.
